Upper Arlington Public Library levy on the May 3 ballot |
|
During the last general PTO meeting in March, we were fortunate to have Beth Hatch, the director of the Upper Arlington library, as a guest speaker. She explained the reasons behind the upcoming library levy and the impacts of it not passing. It was so informative that we wanted to help by spreading the message to our community. Four ways to help: - Share the message with your school families, friends, etc.
- Newsletters
- Social media
- Word of mouth
- Volunteer to help: fill out this form to indicate your interest (get a yard sign or knock on doors)
- Donate to the campaign
- Check, Paypal, or Venmo (@UAProtect-YourLibrary)
- Even just $5 helps to cover the cost of a sign!
- Vote on May 3!

Volunteer to help with After School Discovery dismissal |
|
We are still looking for volunteers for After School Discovery dismissal this week and a few other days through the end of this session. Can you help?
Sign up at: https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/70a0549a9a72ca2fc1-spring1.
Volunteering is easy - it is just a 30-minute time commitment from 3:45-4:15. You will get a list of the students to be dismissed, and your job is to help them get to where they need to go - either to SACC, out the door to walk home, or to meet their grownup who will pick them up in the front of the school. This is a great opportunity to meet some of the kids and chat with another adult volunteer (our goal is two adults per session). Especially if you have a child you will be picking up anyway, please consider coming a bit early to help out. We can't do it without you!

Counselors' Corner 4.26.2022 |
|
Mental wellbeing is always important, but especially as we continue to find our way through this [hopefully almost over] pandemic and its repercussions. The toll it has taken on our kids' social and mental health is real, but the good news is there are many resources to help.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the Counseling Team is here, now and always, to help everyone in our Wickliffe family take care of themselves and their loved ones. It is a good time to assess our kids' mental health, our own, and check in with those close to us... with empathy.
Some resources: - Syntero - provides compassionate, professional, expert counseling and community-based services
- On Our Sleeves - the movement for children's mental health
- The Wickliffe Counseling Team - focused on kindergarten through fifth grade mental wellbeing with the bonus of knowing the Wickliffe kids
Let us know how we can collaborate!
Felice (and the rest of the counseling team)
